Baghaichari Upazila is a bordering upazila on the north-east of the eastern part of Bangladesh. Its distance from the district headquarters is 146 km. It is the largest of Bangladesh's largest upazila. Its size is 703 square miles. Tripura state of India on the north, Mizoram state on the east, Dighinala upazila on Khagrachhari on the west, Langadu upazila of Rangamati on the south. Its 8 union areas are plain plains, the rest of 600 square mile sesame union is known as the high mountain, called Sajeak Valley. Most Jum farmers live in Sajeak Valley area. In-house contact 30 km concrete road, 30 km half way road, 200 km raw road. Apart from this, internal contact is in the mountainous area.
